The changes to night routes also:
new N32 between Edgware and Oxford Circus - not sure why it would go to OXO and not Victoria???
I'd personally say the 6/98 changes are not too bad however it would have been easier to just had the 332 to Victoria and 98 unchanged without any meddling with the 6, which I imagine is only in relation to the 23.
23 goes back to its pre-2017 route.
The 31, 113, 189, N189 changes and nothing listed for the N113 (not even no changes just forgotten about).
Horrible.
The 113 change to White City is by far horrible as surely no one along Watford Way or Hendon needs a link to Westfield when they have Brent Cross around the corner. The 31's links to Camden, Kilburn, Harrow Road, NHG and Westfield have an appropriate purpose which shows some passenger numbers. Local community, the social aspects were clearly not thought about.
The 113 towards "White City" will also have a double run down Finchley Road to reach Fairfax Road... A reroute down Belsize Road towards White City would have saved journey times as Finchley Road is heavily congested even with bus lanes
The 189 change, not too bad as it still links to a shopping centre being Brent Cross, and brings new links as far as Kilburn. Theres always a change onto the 316 for Westfield. Id struggle to see how LTs would fit down however, definitely wouldnt work on the 31 between Swiss Cottage and Kilburn High Road.
On the negative note, new N189 remains between Marble Arch and Brent Cross. Waste of resources. It would have been easier to have the revised N32 run down via the revised N189 instead of two separate routes, or the N189 also run to Camden.
Change for the 78/388 in my opinion was well thought out and will provide some key new links: Peckham to Shoreditch, Brick Lane, Hackney and Stratford is ideal. No extension to Nunhead however. I would suggest converting the 388 to a 24 hour (even if the 78/388 are both daily).
476 will be withdrawn in a few years if only running between Northumberland Park and Newington Green. One of the shortest routes ever. Still dont know how this route survived when the 73 could perfectly manage running between OXO and Northumberland Park.
The 135 will become extremely long and unreliable, and the N242 is renumbered N135, so not sure how this really is a night equivalent of the 135 at all.
The 88/205/214 chanvges are very messy:
214 is just the current 88 but only as far as Trafalgar Square so an existing C2
88 is just the current 24
205 is the current 214
The key huge link between Angel East and Euston would be lost and is very vital. A reroute of the 30 between Angel and Dalston via City Road, 394 to Mintern Street and 76 would have easily solved this issue where the 56 is still available from the Downs to Angel.
100 becomes quite an orbital route
