Wonder if the 129 could go there instead. Not sure how well used the 330 is between Canning Town and Pontoon Dock but it was fairly short before extension and I think that it would be a good candidate to extend somewhere across the Thames like Kidbrooke or Eltham The 330 is very well used and serves an important purpose providing links to Canning Town which was lost when the 474 was diverted. Would the 241 be a better candidate? Wouldn’t need to do a double run as opposed to the 330, and would provide a link from North Greenwich to ExCel and Royal Wharf.

I see something elsewhere about the tunnel today and it was mentioned about how busy the Woolwich ferry could become once both tunnels introduce a toll charge. I had not thought of this and hope the reliability of the ferry improves before 2025. I do think the local roads in the E16 area are going to suffer once the tunnel opens but time will tell.
To be honest, I think the demand for the Woolwich Ferry is highly contingent on its reliability -- and even if it were working relatively smoothly, it's still a pretty inconvenient wait, then ferry journey, which cuts any vehicular journey in two and extends journey times. Don't think the tolls will change traffic flows massively if they aren't too high.
