A pointless quiz for the 20th anniversary of The Bus Forum!!!!! Each question is themed around one year in the past 20 years on the London bus network. Entries via PM before 0600 13/2/2023. Results will be published later that day.
1 - On April 23, 2003 the first post was made on this forum, about routes 208 and 261. Name any other route to serve Bromley town centre.
2 - In 2004 Travel London, owned by National Express, bought out Connex. Name any route which was included in this sale.
3 - The last route to convert to low floor operation was route 159 in 2005. Name any route which shares a stop with the current route 159.
4 - In 2006 ‘Spirit of London’ 18500 (later 19000) was delivered to replace a Trident lost in the 7/7 bombings of the previous year. Name any other Stagecoach bus in a special livery.
5 - The oldest bus currently in service on a TfL route is E61, which dates from 2007. Name any route E61 has operated on.
6 - In 2008 Heathrow Terminal 5 opened, with new routes 350, 423 and 482 introduced to serve it. Name any garage any of these routes have operated from.
7 - In 2009 Volvo began supplying double decks to London again after VE1-3 were successfully trialled on AF’s 85. Name any other garage to have operated TfL B9TLs since then.
8 - Transdev’s last batch of Scania OmniCities (SP) entered service in 2010. Name any route operated by these vehicles under Transdev or their successor, RATP.
9 - On 25th June 2011 routes 25, 26 and 30 all transferred from WH to LI upon contract change. Name any other date on which three or more routes transferred between the same two garages after a tender loss.
10 - London famously hosted the Olympics in 2012. Name any bus route which serves Stratford City bus station.
11 - In 2013 First left London, with Tower Transit taking on all buses and routes at three garages. Name any route won by Tower Transit not inherited from First.
12 - In 2014 the first batch of old style Gemini 3 vehicles were delivered, for PD’s route 53. Name any other route which had old style Gemini 3s ordered for it.
13 - In 2015 UNO won their first route, 383, out of HF. Name any other bus route which has operated from outside the Greater London Boundary since then.
14 - In 2016 the first electric double decks, manufactured by BYD, were trialled on route 98. Name any bus route which currently operates using BYD double decks.

18 - Abellio’s 2020 is the only bus to share its full fleetcode with its year of manufacture. Name any route 2020 has operated on.
19 - In 2021 RATP London made landslide gains of routes across West London. Name any route they retained or won during this year.
20 - To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, eight buses were given allover wraps, which were promptly removed upon her death. Name any route these buses operated on between the Queen’s Jubilee and death.
