Latest TfL bus fleet audit for 31st March 2023 has now been uploaded tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/bus-fleet-data-and-audits"This year's fleet size of 8,643 buses represents a reduction of 152 buses in comparison to last fleet audit total on 31 March 2022 of 8,795. The number of vehicles in the fleet will change from time to time, as new vehicles enter service and the vehicles they are replacing are decommissioned. The fleet total includes: 949 Electric buses, 1 NRM retrofitted to Electric, 20 Hydrogen and 3,835 Hybrid buses (including 997 new Routemasters). All vehicles in the fleet are PSVAR compliant." Only 201 new buses in 2022 - average fleet age has increased further from 7.1 to 7.8 (remember when it was only about 3 years in the late noughties....) - Sullivan fleet oldest at 9.6 years with the Arriva one close by at 8.9. What is interesting is now 997 new routemasters (plus one converted to electric), as there were previously 1000, must be 2 have been permanently withdrawn.
Also looks like the 2 VanHool single deck fuel cell buses been withdrawn
The 8643 buses is nearly 1000 buses less than March 2017 total of 9616 buses, so 10% reduction in 6 years

I guess the big excel spreadsheet would show which ones (can't open and manipulate it at moment) as not on my desktop
