Anybody else seen this aberration? On my journey to Ealing this morning, going through Bond Street, I saw every single sign at Bond Street had been covered over and replaced with ‘Burberry Street’. The excellent Lizzy line driver did reassure us passengers that this really was Bond Street and it was a temporary promotion as part of London Fashion Week.
But honestly, how awful that is for accessibility and for people/tourists who don’t know London very well, or at all.
Boo to TfL.

Was coming back from Heathrow yesterday and the sheer level of confusion on the faces of tourists was ridiculous.

Can’t advertise a slice of cake nor anything that shows a person in peak physical condition. But renaming a whole station to push branding and consumerism down people’s throat - yeah let’s do that. This mayor is awful. Sadly it looks like his competition is lacking in substance. For many it will be a case of voting against Khan rather than voting for someone else.

It's clear, or at least I'd hope that TfL were paid for this sort of stunt. In such case I wonder if there would be merit to stations being sponsored by companies to have their names alongside, it's pulled off in Dubai very well. It would need to be smaller stations, I'm not advocating naming Westminster into CocaCola Westminster.
