Be interesting what coaches Stagecoach go for seeing as they have lost the ADL link in the bus fleet. Will it spread to the coach fleet. Having said that I think double deck coaches is fairly limited these days in the UK to Plaxton, Caetano, VDL and maybe Bealus? Not sure is the Jewel is still offered in UK. If it is, not aware one has been built for a while.

Interesting, especially that the new Carterton/Witney journeys will by-pass Oxford City (they will stop at Thornhill Park & Ride and have a stop in North Oxford). There will be four departures from Carterton on weekday mornings and three afternoon return journeys. There will also be one journey an hour which will operate via High Wycombe Coachway then take the 'Express route' via Baker Street, rather than the conventional route taking in Hillingdon Station, Shepherd's Bush and Notting Hill Gate. The only misgiving I have is that in its current form, Oxford Tube is a simple route to understand. Now there will be more route variations some passengers will need extra information to know which coach they should or shouldn't board. Here is a diagram of the new stopping patterns: www.oxfordtube.com/uploads/oxford_tube_route_map.pdfThe new timetable and stops are effective from Monday 23rd October.

Stagecoach has re-vinylled one of its Oxford Tube Plaxton Panorama coaches with a special poppy wrap to commemorate Remembrance Day. Vehicle 50452 (YX21 NNP) was previously in Scottish CityLink blue-and-yellow. It was one of ten that were ordered for Oxford Tube as part of a larger batch, but which were diverted to Scotland after Oxford Tube loadings declined following the Covid-19 Pandemic. These coaches have now returned to Oxford as demand as increased again and new services have been added. Stagecoach is offering free travel to veterans, serving military personnel and cadets on its services on Armistice Day, Saturday 11th November and Remembrance Sunday, 12th November. Oxford Tube is included in the free travel offer. Stagecoach recognises that it has a number of former services personnel in its workforce, and works closely with its employee-led, UK-wide Veteran's Network. The Company gained a silver award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme in July this year, and has been a signatory to the Armed Forces Covenant since 2015. www.route-one.net/news/stagecoach-west-unveils-poppy-liveried-oxford-tube-coach/
