Just seen 2518 go through Hammersmith heading down the great west road. Probably heading back to Hayes but seems strange place for it to go unless Uxbridge road is closed Was it used on Rail Replacement somewhere today?

Nope, 2518 was used on the 207 today so looks like it was going dead from White City to WS via the A4 & M4 of which is the quickest route between White City and WS.

As Abellio are now have always ordered ADL buses for single and double deck, it would be nice if they order Enviro 400H City's (not saying that they should stop ordering Enviro 400 MMCs) but Abellio should go for a different ADL type and I think the Enviro 400H city would be good as for Stagecoach aswell, there isn't any Enviro 400H City's in North West/West London so it would be nice to see those there The E400H City is more expensive than the E400H MMC, which is why relatively few have been purchased for London service. Even though it came about at a time when Transport for London was encouraging manufacturers to incorporate elements of the New Routemaster into its designs. The big surprise though, has been the enthusiastic take-up of the E400 City design by operators outside London, looking for something stylish, different and a little more upmarket for their flagship services. You don't need to order the City design to get an upmarket bus - you can specify the MMC with as many upmarket features as you want (even including the glazed staircase). Some very high-spec MMCs have been delivered to all sorts of operators over the past couple of years.
Whether it's stylish or not is a matter of personal preference. I think the MMC is a much more balanced design; to me the City looks good from some angles but odd from other angles. I certainly wouldn't pay any more for it.

I also saw an LT blinded for 148 going the same way but didn't catch the number so never mentioned it could have just been a FW driver deciding to put that on the blind.

That's the first time I've seen an abellio go down there and I'm in Hammersmith just about everyday.

I hope the driver stayed on the A4 instead of using the M4 as the E400Hs struggle to reach above 45-50 Usually Metroline drivers would run light via the A40, but there are lane closures on the westbound A40 around Savoy Circus (East Acton) for the next few months so maybe the drivers decided to avoid the traffic on that route. At night the A40 and A312 route to the garage is definitely faster, but during the day it's probably 50/50 between both routes. Actually, could the bus have been going to TF?

The speed limiter for all of Abellio's hybrids is set at 46mph and they are ok to go on the M4 as long as they stay on the inside lane. It's the route used when we collect buses to borrow for rail replacement.

I actually thought that E40Hs max out around that speed anyway with the Volvo hybrids like the WHVs having a higher top speed.

I might be wrong but why would they when these buses are moving later in the year. Still think its mad buses move for the 267 to Abelio and them buses move the other way for the 211
