I would say the 235 is helped well in Hounslow by routes 116 and 237 and occasionally route 423. The 235 needs help in the Feltham area. 90 partially helps but since it terminates at Feltham its not really any use. Decking the 423 won't hurt though. It will create more capacity between Hounslow and Hounslow Heath so consequently will help to ease pressure on the 235. It's lamentable the 235 still uses single deckers, but whilst it's stick with single deckers, then decking parallel routes as has been done with the 116 and E8 is best that can be done. Don’t quote me on this but back when the 235 was tendered to Metroline in 2016 I saw an utterance about a turn on the 235 being unsuitable for deckers? May have something to do with it but I may also have misread it.

A potential solution could be to split the 235 into a SD Sunbury-Hounslow route and a DD Ealing Broadway-Feltham route

If there is a problem with double deckers it will be at the Sunbury Village end. Although RM’s and M’s and L’s managed it for years. The triangle system of roads to turn around in are tight. And it’s also where a double deck 216 was involved in a fatality a couple of years ago.

"Abellio begins new route 278 on 7th December and the seven new E400 ‘smart hybrids’ (2006-12) are starting to be delivered; they will be joined by four refurbished E400Hs to make up the 11 needed for the route" - Source: LOTs Online.

Is that refurbishment of the 400H's a cosmetic and/or mechanical one? Some of the 400H's have started to show their age revving to ragged edge in some cases.

How is change over for 27 performed? And where is it performed? All changeovers at Hammersmith Grove stand. Dead runs to both Hammersmith and Chalk Farm at start and end of service

This months LOTS reported the 415 was fully converting to LT from the 23rd and looking at LVF it seems so. Did a Abellio LT route have a PVR cut to allow this to happen?

Is the 278 going to run from GW now as without the 427 cutback surely WS won't have space for it?
