This is related to construction work on Old Oak Common Station.
The Elizabeth Line will also close between Paddington and Ealing Broadway on 24th and 27th December with a limited service between Ealing Broadway and Heathrow Airport/Maidenhead/Reading. GWR services will also terminate and start back at Ealing Broadway, but services will be limited and most longer-distance services will terminate and start back from Reading on the two days.

Okay thanks.
That is the problem with the Liz Line it is an Underground Line when it wants to and then National Rail when it suits.
Being a named line on the Underground Line it should run Boxing Day.

No different to Overground.

I miss when Boxing day was Boxing day and hardly any services ran I think it should go back to how it was limited tube and limited buses let the people enjoy the season it's two days have another 363 to do everything .

No different to Overground. It is a named line on the Underground map, 99% of people will see it as that and would expect it to run. I understand why it doesn’t operate outside the core, as NR control rooms are closed. Again SE London is poorly served. But I do agree stuff should shut on Boxing Day including shops, especially supermarkets as to give staff a break for working very hard up to Xmas. The Underground used to run a very limited service in the afternoon on Xmas Day. Which reminds me when we had a lot of cable theft, I was offered a ridiculous amount of money to just sit in the control room to watch the diagram on Christmas Day, I turned t down. That was under Metronet.

That was under Metronet. Last year was the first year where supermarkets pretty much across the spectrum closed on Boxing Day. Rumours I'm hearing is my shop will close for Boxing Day and most, if not, all supermarkets will be closed this Boxing Day and that it might become a permanent thing which I obviously welcome.
