The last sea-going Paddle Steamer in the world is coming to the River Thames at the end of September and until the middle of October.
During this period, PS Waverley will undertake a number of public excursion trips, including a number departing from London Tower Pier and heading to destinations along the Thames Estuary and along the Essex, Suffolk and North Kent coasts. Some shorter trips will be available, as will some one-way trips allowing the other leg to be made by train. Some trips have an inclusive coach link to return to the starting point.
On all trips serving Tower Pier, Tower Bridge will be raised to allow passage of PS Waverley - which happens to be just slightly too tall due to an otherwise pointless mast!
