Arriva & other operators are bringing in another round of service cutbacks. Arriva seems to be struggling to survive in Harlow.
Main Changes are
Service 1 - Withdrawn
Service 1A - Withdrawn
Service 5 - Withdrawn
Service T10 - Withdrawn
Servie T15 - Frequency Increased to every 10 minute
Service B6 - Reduced Frequency

Why Arriva is start follow first's cutback? I thought Goverment was mean to help service better improve. so why cutback? so it seem turn back into car service instead bus service. Again Poor Service and high fares cost.

Not surprised to see the 5 cut. It's a really under used service!!! I'm impressed that they've kept the 500 and 501 running, although i've never seen the 501 all that heavily used!!

Arriva seem to be pulling out of the Harlow Town services. They only have about two town services left. Most of what they are left with is inter town services such as the 724 & the 500 series of routes. With the cutback to Wares 310/311 service (and I can see further cuts coming there such as cutting say the 310 or 311 back to Waltham Cross to Hoddesdon) and the cuts to the Harlow services it would not suprise me to see Arriva look to merging the Ware & Harlow services into a single garage. The Harlow garage is far bigger then they need now.

I'm surprised if anything though as Harlow is an old LT garage if i'm right. They still quite a few long services, but agreed their Harlow services really don't exist anymore. Although, to be honest it was a long time before they started replacing the Merc minibuses they had!!! Still, more than what First Essex have done!!

Yes its an old Loundon Country Buses Garage that dates back to the time that Harlow New town was built. Harlow used to have excellent town services that run about every 8 to 10 minutes during the day and about every 15 to 20 Minutes during the evening uptil about 9pm and about every 30 minutes after that. Slowly the services have got less frequent and evening & Sunday services have all but disappeared. Trouble is once they do that people stop using them particularly when cancellations are common and timekeeping poor. If Bus companies cannot provide high freqnensy services from early morning untill late at night in towns one has to wonder how much future there is for public transport.
