What euro are the upgraded Volvo B7TLs in London (I.e VLPs, VPs / VPLs / WVLs)? What euro are the SELs? I’m not sure how the Vantage conversion works but I’d imagine the upgraded VLP’s would now be Euro VI (originally Euro III). I believe the VP’s & VPL’s were modified to Euro V (originally Euro III). The PVL’s & WVL’s are were modified to Euro IV except the 52 reg WVL’s (not including WVL94-95) (originally Euro III) The SEL’s I’m unsure of but originally, if they aren’t still that is, they were Euro III.

So can any bus be upgraded to a higher Euro or is there a limit? Like example will the AEC Routemasters on the 15H be upgraded or withdrawn once the ULEZ is kicked in?

The SEL’s I’m unsure of but originally, if they aren’t still that is, they were Euro III. SELs (Metroline) were EuroIV when new, and I don't think they've been upgraded. SLEs (Transdev / RATP) were EuroIII, but the surviving ones have of course been upgraded. So can any bus be upgraded to a higher Euro or is there a limit? Like example will the AEC Routemasters on the 15H be upgraded or withdrawn once the ULEZ is kicked in? I think there is a limit to what you can do without changing the engine. But you can of course just re-engine a bus - Cummins have repowered an RM with a EuroVI engine as described here.

Apologies, for the moment I mixed up the SLE's & SEL's - call it a face palm moment lool. Indeed, the SEL's are Euro IV and SLE's originally Euro III.

So on this NYE, will the 24h weekend routes run at all?
I bloody hope so, as given the tiny amount of NYE all-night routes this time, we'd end up with some concerning gaps...

So on this NYE, will the 24h weekend routes run at all? I bloody hope so, as given the tiny amount of NYE all-night routes this time, we'd end up with some concerning gaps... Who knows? I tweeted Busalerts today to ask if they were ever going to publish a list of NYE services. No reply (yet). On the basis that TfL have changed the NYE service level from Saturday to Sunday then the weekend only routes will NOT run *unless* TfL have contracted a special NYE night service. The 123 appears to still be running on NYE night but beyond that who knows. It's a complete shambles and a "little bird" tells me the info has been finalised within TfL but has not reached the web page it should be on. If usage levels are down it will be because passengers are not in possession of psychic powers to be able to telepathically transfer the info from within Palestra to their own consciousness and nothing to do with an inability to update a web page. God help us if there is ever a bus or tube strike again - there'll be no one around to update the web page for that either.

Following the 157's NYE axe, I worry about Carshalton and Wallington being screwed over, but if 154N runs it won't be bad. Also darn shame to see 221 gone, means Mill Hill will only have N113 and possibly 114N (that ran a NYE service prior as well)

That is an appalling cut from last year - in NE London we have lost the 215, 275 and 444 services. I haven't done a full cross check but whole areas are going to be without any service at all.

The 412 wouldn't seem an obvious candidate for a 24 hour service to me, have TfL not publicised which routes will be running?

It is not on the list on the LBR website and, of course, TfL can't be bothered to tell anyone what *is* running. As I keep saying this is the text book definition of a shambles. This is the sum total of the relevant info (I've ignored the diversion info).
