Yes that different sounding bell is for the driver to know that if he has a wheelchair onboard he will have to put the ramp out at the next stop, but half the drivers ask you where your getting off anyway. Dart SLFs also have a different sounding bell if the wheelchair bell is pressed, well 52 regs onwards do, as do all Y reg and onwards Presidents.

Per last line of TfL link what is a shuffle service ? www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/livetravelnews/realtime/information.asp?line=65&time=future&mode=busesThe main road through Petersham is being closed overnight from 21st Feb for a week or so (9pm until about 5am). It affects 65 and 371 and it is virtually impossible to provide a diversion (other side of Richmond Park via Roehampton, or back to Richmond Bridge (but loaded double deckers are technically overweight for the bridge), Twickenham and Kingston Bridge Once when this happened before, there was a combined 65/371 (with 65 on front blind and 371 on side blind) running Kingston on 65 route to Sandy Lane, then 371 route back to Kingston (with 371 on front blind, blinds changed at Sandy Lane/Petersham Road stop), showing either Ham or Kingston in destination box (and opposite in reverse direction)

I don't know if this the right place but what is a trunk route? I have seen the word being used and I have no clue what it means.

So Bighat could the 205 or 266 be classed as a trunk route?

So Bighat could the 205 or 266 be classed as a trunk route? I was thinking more of inter-urban operations than London routes. Having said that, the 205 DOES travel the length of the A501 road, providing and east-west connection linking major railway termini also, so yes, I think it WOULD qualify as a trunk route. The 266 on the other hand, although a mile longer end to end than the 205, does not follow such a well efined line of travel as the 205, athough it does connect several major ciommunities, so trunk in its connection facilities for communities certainly. But to return t the original question, usually used in an inter-urban sense rather than within a large suburban connurbation.
