Took the rare opportunity to do the L3, M and X combo to go North to South. Some observations:
- Almost all the drivers kept asking passengers where they were going to ensure they did not go somewhere they did not want to. Really good customer service and clearly something has happened since the last time I took Rail Replacements. - Buses were absolutely flying. Particularly the Arriva drivers on M and X. If this closure happens again and Arriva are on it, get yourself on a ride. - Buses were pretty much empty on all my journeys.

Noticed Go Ahead RR garage are running the DLR replacement. So used to seeing Arriva, Transport UK, Sullivans and Ensign on covering this. I noticed they are not standing in Silvertown Way and are instead using the 323 bus stop /former bus stand close to Canning Town bus station in Manor road. The service is mainly using LT buses.

I thought that was a common stand for the RR buses. I definitely recall Ensign using that at least. Could you remind me what 323 history with that stand was? I vaguely remember but does not make sense. Did they terminate at Canning Town Bus station and park up there? Separately, you reminded me from my use of RR buses yesterday that I rode a few LTs that were not driven very well which made think either the RR drivers were not used to them or some of the routing of the RR routes are not suited to it, particularly route M.

The stand is used on occasions but buses mostly stand in Silvertown Way close to the bus station. The old stand is the last stop on the 323 before terminating at Canning Town bus station, the stop is rarely used and can’t be served when the rail replacement buses are parked here. The last time the stand was used for a terminating route was for route 5 way back before the bus station opened.

Does anyone know the ibus code for the CL-1? UL47 was Stratford City to Redbridge so could come under this as Stratford City to Leytonstone is part of that route

The Go-Ahead Jubilee replacement variety is wild. All sorts of random buses, a Croydon WHV, WHV84, WS141, Q EHs, Commerical ENs, some NX Es, EH30-something from the 88, I guess a lot of other usual vehicles are being used up by the Tramlink replacement.

The PVR of JL2 is quite high, there's also MHV7, E12, E101. These are the garages that typically release buses for GTR rail replacement, but now will operate on TfL contracts(although TUK will and has called upon them for some GTR work) as they've lost the GTR contract due to some new rule introduced about tendering contracts out to in-house operators. (GTR is a GoAhead subsidiary)

(GTR is a GoAhead subsidiary) Go-Ahead didn’t lose the GTR contract because of some new rule introduced as you put it - they bid and were beaten on price by TUK
