It will be odd seeing Abellio LT run through Golders Green on Deadruns unless it starts in Pimlico. Or are Abellio about to open a North London Garage? Abellio are not opening a North London Garage as far as I’m aware.

Imo because HT is much closer to the 168 than W. Isn't HT full? The 46 was the reson it moved back to W But HT is losing the 24 in November 2019 and if there’s still not enough space you can’t move the 17 to KC to fill the void after the 214 goes to London General.

However remember W will be losing quite a lot of work when the 232 and 266 leave, for the sake of balancing work it might be ideal to keep the 168 at W.

There could be a possibility of the 102 going to W or the 139 going to W of if Metroline doesn’t get them then you could move the 245 or the 32 to W.

Metroline are getting a bit of a mauling at the moment. The 24, 214, 232 and 266 all leaving soon, no doubt they’ll come back with a vengeance soon. This is obviously speculation but I do think the 34/102/192 tranche not being announced yet is to do with the 266 moving out of W. Would be really unfair of TfL not to consider Metroline/W for the 102 because of ‘lack of garage space’ only for them to announce they’d be losing a similar sized route later on that could have fit after all. Current prediction: now the 266 is going I’m pretty sure Metroline will win the 102, with the 62/13-reg ex-134 TEs, there should be enough there to cover the whole routes PVR depending on what the 317 uses. I don’t think B5LHs will be used if they realise the battering the 34’s vehicles are getting as some are becoming very sluggish.

I don’t think B5LHs will be used if they realise the battering the 34’s vehicles are getting as some are becoming very sluggish. They can even use the 13 reg TEHs off the 266 (18 buses out of the 102s pvr of 25) then some 14xx TEs can transfer across from PB as top ups (TE1424-1432 possibly? With 1432 already at W) this would give the 102 27 buses for a PVR of 25. The 210 can then have some 10xx TEs back from the 266 which can replace the TAs and TE829/905-907. With some routes that Metroline can grab in upcoming tenders, I wouldn't be surprised to see them have a strong come back after their mauling. When they lost a lot of routes to RATP last year they came back strong in 1 tender, winning the 292, 317 & 393 all in 1 round.

The 24 has been confirmed as operating from QB - it doesn’t specifically have to run from a North London just like when Go-Ahead ran it from SW. Why would any dead run through Golders Green when the garage is based south of the river?

And yet B5LH’s have continued to be ordered by Metroline so not sure what is particularly special about the 102 or what is so bad about the 34’s VWH’s? The only things stopping the 102 from using B5LH’s with Metroline is running from W where it would almost certainly be TE/TEH operated or Metroline not winning the route at all.
