Have the VMHs for the 317 arrived at PB yet ready for Saturday? If not there should be enough spare TEs available for a small PVR route I don't think the 317 is getting VMHs, I assume it'll use the TEs spare from the 134.

Was on the 112 today, and I noticed something different about the ibus announcement, usually after the bus stops it'll wait at least 5 seconds until it announces the route and destination but it was like 10 or 15 seconds and the same thing when I was on the 226 and 232, is this a new thing for ibus or is it just a trial? I noticed this briefly on the 62, but I put it down to me not actually paying attention. I might take a listen on my travels tomorrow. Yeah had this on the 207 upon reflection - if it is a new development I suppose it'll be helpful at crowded stops, less so for two quiet stops at short interval.

The 317 is completely different to the 393 situation. The 393 was an error in buses being ordered. I know new buses were specified on the 317 win but metroline have a long history of diverting their new buses elsewhere whilst existing buses end up on a new route take up.

I understand the two concepts, it does not change the fact that it is two tender results awarded to Metroline possibly due to them offering the buses they did and then they do not operate the route accordingly.

It hasn't been confirmed anywhere that it will happen anyway - all I said is I see the TE's staying on the 317. That does not actually mean that Metroline will 100% do that - I'm merely surmising.

I understand the two concepts, it does not change the fact that it is two tender results awarded to Metroline possibly due to them offering the buses they did and then they do not operate the route accordingly. Clearly there is a problem with the 393. However if Metroline and TfL have agreed a further cost saving arrangement with the use of existing fleet vehicles rather than new then the 317 route will be operated in accordance with the contract. As mentioned in another post Metroline have a huge amount of past form for post award deals to keep existing vehicles on routes rather than buying new. It may all come out in the wash eventually as VMHs will become spare from the 43 and 134 in a few months. I confess I don't follow all the speculative debate about where those VMH buses might be cascaded to so if there's no possibility of them turning up on the 317 then fair enough. I'm certainly not expecting new buses to arrive on the 317 - I expect TEs will be used on it. I am at odds with the latest TLB from LOTS on that view - we'll see on Saturday.

I wonder if the 168 will move back to HT.

Just curious to know why do people want the 168 to move to HT?

Just curious to know why do people want the 168 to move to HT? Imo because HT is much closer to the 168 than W.

It will be odd seeing Abellio LT run through Golders Green on Deadruns unless it starts in Pimlico. Or are Abellio about to open a North London Garage?
