Was hoping to get out and catch it along with seeing SEes pass it but had to change plans. I passed SEe98 and unidentified SEe I shall sample them tomorrow. 209/378/209/232 are all on my list of routes to do tomorrow.

Which of Metroline's batches of DEs are upgraded to euro6 already, or in the process of doing so? I would guess that this includes the 10/11/12reg (original Metroline, not ex-First), possibly the 59reg, but not sure what else. Most DELs were euro6 as new, but I would expect the 206's 12reg DELs to get upgraded as the route was recently retained. I think the 62reg DEMs will also get done, but possibly not the 61reg DEMs now that the 234 uses longet DEs. There may also be a similar situation with Metroline's TEs given the recent transfers. With the number of spare vehicles in the fleet, Metroline could probably withdraw all 56/07/57/08/58/09reg TEs once all announced changes have taken place. The 240 and 282 will gain newer vehicles (VWs and TEHs respectively), the 482 will be lost, the 210 will regain its newer allocation once the 266 is lost. This just leaves the U4 and some PB routes (plus possible a few school routes and the U3 DD workings), so should be enough newer vehicles to replace these. The older batches of DEs are as follows : DE 859-870 08-reg 12 buses DE 871-877 58-reg 7 buses DE 952-960 58-reg 9 buses DE 993-1014 09-reg 22 buses DE 1583-1597 08-reg 15 buses DE 1598-1649 58-reg 52 buses DE 1650-1664 09-reg 15 buses DE 1665-1695 09-reg already withdrawn Prior to Londonwide ULEZ only routes 331 (DEL) and 324 out to tender which means at least 75-83 of these will get euroVI upgrades, although the unused 19-reg DEL might take over a route and reduce this number to nearer 60 ugrades Not sure how many of the newly spare DEs will be swapped for older or leased ones Does anyone know which DEs will be leaving fleet

Which of AH's DEs are biting the dust? I thought the 58 plates would be going but there is still 4 out on the 117.

Any news on the 240 and when/if it will get its VWs? Over halfway through August now and still no sign of the old TEs retiring...

Overall it probably (like the VPs withdrawal) depends on the electrics going into service at PB, releasing VMHs to PA and dispersing some VWs to EW for the 240.

I agree with you in some respects, though the older LK56/57/08 TEs are becoming very worn on the inside and out, struggling to power through some of the hills on the 240. Your theory would make sense; the electrics at PB are due to be introduced soon as they are nearly ready for service I believe?
