rif153 , When I was reading the consultation for the X140, the bit that made me chuckle was the routing via Lower Rd between Harrow and S.Harrow. Even without the H9/10 and the 395, that route is rammed with traffic in the peak hours!

I am yet to see a list of X140 stops, presumably like the X26 it is only selected stops If there are no stops South of High Street, Harlington then it might be outside the free travel zone I'm aware there is a short working on those newly shown blinds of Harlington Corner but I cannot see how a bus from the north can actually serve the stop of that name and be turned easily (much more likely to be an out of service loop via Nobel Drive), so would have to terminate before Harlington Corner But some other routes that serve stops in the Heathrow free travel zone are excluded eg 81, 222, N9, X26 www.heathrow.com/file_source/Company/Static/PDF/Heathrowcommuter/travel_around_Heathrow.pdfThe PDF is current map on Heathrow website, remains to be seen if the 278 and N140 replace the 140 If the N9 were included in the Heathrow Free Travel Zone it would just encourage fare dodging on a route which already uses LTs, thank god it isn't included in freeflow.
Having said that, I think putting some ADHs on the N9 (as RR do with the EHs on the N15) would help to curb fare dodging, and I know george would enjoy ADHs on the N9. I’m pretty sure the N9 is part of the Heathrow free travel zone.

On second thoughts, given it serves two bus stations, and 80% of the terminals at Heathrow, there is a good chance it is in the free travel zone. It makes sense that the 81 and 222 aren't because they just skim the northern perimeter.

Since the new DEM's for the 393 are coming in, looks like the old batch will move back to PB and all of the ENS will be withdrawn and handed back to Arriva please correct me if i am wrong.

ENS at PB and HT should go back to Arriva, and there will also be enough now (As the 234 converted to DE) for the ex First DEMs to also leave the fleet, presumably they are leased like a lot of the ex First stuff at Metroline is.

DEM1914 has been refurbished so it does look like the ex First DEM's are staying at PB, saw that on the 382 in Arnos Grove this morning.

I wonder what will happen to the surplus DEMs, as there is more then enough once the 393s DEMs all go into service. Unless they are planning to convert the 234 back to DEM.

Further info regarding the 98's BYDs withdrawal via LOTs, "Metroline’s BYD1471-75 were withdrawn as the TfL-sponsored trial has now ended"
Kinda regret never riding one now!

12th OME has now entered service, that’s one each day the past 3 days. Meanwhile there still are only 3/4 being used per day which isn’t great.
