First Glasgow have just received the first of a batch of 25 Enviro500 double deckers. They are operating from larkfield depot on route 75(Milton-City centre-Castlemilk). I did see one on sunday however wasnt in the right place to get a photo , however if you buy this months buses magazine it is on pg66.

I saw the picture in the Buses magazine. I think this is very interesting, as i dont think I have ever seen new tri-axles in the UK, just the old ex-Hong Kong ones. Hopefully these will be seen more in the UK, and be choosen to operate the ex-bendy bus routes in London.

First Glasgow also operate VolvoB7L/East lancs Nordics i think they are 52 reg. The MD of first glasgow used to run new world first bus in hong kong and he seems to have some sway in ordering these high capacity vehicles, im sure first would be happy to send one on a little tour round the UK fleets including london to see if there was demand.

But they still bought 2 of these, I've seen one going through Kingston 3 months ago, so new tri-axles have sort of operated in London (the photo shows one on rail replacement (Clapham Jct-Kingston-Surbiton) when main line was closed at Wimbledon. I think they seat 100 and are about 12.4m long. Personally I think they look impressive when you see real thing. londonbuspics.fotopic.net/p57311850.html
