What train class forms the 07:43 from Putney to Clapham Junction? Given it's a service originating from Shepperton, probably Class 455.

Yikes, apologies galwhv69 -- I didn’t know 707s were scheduled to Sheppy. (Although as a Waterloo diagram I might work it in future...) In other news, 701s are rumored to be 6-8 months late due to lack of production capacity at Derby.

We’ve knocked it back also because of the cab! How’s the training going?

I spoke to an SWR driver based at Strawberry Hill who said the lease ends in 2020 but he said he expects the lease to be extended

We’ve knocked it back also because of the cab! How’s the training going? I heard as much. Based on the construction pics the cab looks smaller than the QE Tube / Overground / Anglia Units. I'm halfway through the guards training, got my Train Working Licence today and signed off on Class 444/450. Just need to sign off all other tractions and do route learning

Was there not severe disruption only a few weeks ago in and out of Waterloo due to overrunning engineering work?

Was there not severe disruption only a few weeks ago in and out of Waterloo due to overrunning engineering work? It seems like everyday there is major disruption across the SWR network. It has gotten so much worse in recent months though. I remember when South Western franchise was the model franchise, not without its problems but on the whole very good. It has only taken First two years to undo a couple of decades of hard work under Stagecoach.

Major disruption in/out of Waterloo due to overruning engineering works... It must have been urgent/necassary if it couldn't wait 'til the weekend?

Hmm, I don't recall South West Trains being as brilliant... Major disruption in/out of Waterloo due to overruning engineering works... It must have been urgent/necassary if it couldn't wait 'til the weekend? My thoughts too, a Thursday night doesn't seem the best time to do work? The overrun was due to issues with re-energising lines. (I can't give any further info at present)

No more Alliance between the TOC and Network rail + the need for urgent power upgrades and more emergency speed restrictions due to longer hence heavier trains introduced since December timetable, both factors contributing to more overnight possessions needed
Doesn’t take a genius I’m afraid. No sign of this getting better either
