Oh, don't get me mistaken, I hope I'm wrong. As a driver, I like to avoid Wright Bus like the plague. But, I'm going of the MD's words in the email, which again, I hope is wrong... Interesting comment about Wrightbus, I know back a few years ago they were said to set the standard in bus quality and experience although recently they seem to have fallen behind to many other companies. From a passenger's perspective, I think the Gemini 1 (B7TL or DB250) was the highest standard DD at the time, but I think ADL's DDs have been better since the euro IV Enviro 400s - unless operators have just maintained them better than Gemini 2s. But the MMC is certainly superior quality to the B5LH/G3 or Streetdeck.

Metrobus is operated as a separate ibus agency within GAL because with the size of the GAL fleet the Go-ahead agency would be over capacity id MB and C were added. Lets not forget ibus is 11 years old this year and although its been modified numerous times over the years the system still has operational limits. Keeping Metrobus separate helps keep the main Go Ahead system under capacity and somewhat operating smoothly. However it does prove a slight headache when transferring vehicles between operations. MB has 1 screen that does some BX routes. C also monitor some MB routes do you know the reason? MB no longer control BX routes it switched back last year in time for the 51’s arrival at MB.

Interesting comment about Wrightbus, I know back a few years ago they were said to set the standard in bus quality and experience although recently they seem to have fallen behind to many other companies. They make great body shells. The best Wright Buses I've driven have been Volvo engined. There was potential with the Streetlites, but they just don't seem to have evolved aside from a chassis change. Side note, this is a quote from the email 'meet up with representatives from Wright bus who are building our buses for the 214 and 232.' I wonder if they will be Smart Hybrid rather than Electric? It could be the same deal as Arriva's HW100 or the StreetDecks on the 25. Battery powers ZF Electric Hubs and helps the engine. I think there's Smart Hybrid Streetlites, I think there's some knocking about on the 286 I took a ride on HW100 when in Moorgate today - quick enough, so hopefully this latest batch of Daimlers aren't so gutless... Surprised if they took the StreetAir over the SEe's - unless the 214 SEe's are being sent somewhere else (100?) and it's for standardisation. I wonder what will happen with the WS's from the 192?

Wait so are the 214s buses not going to be E200 MMCs? I hope the user stating that it will be Wright StreetAirs is wrong because d*mn those are ugly buses. Where did you get that idea from? The Enviro200EVs for the 214 are just about to be delivered, there is a picture of one of them in July's "Buses" magazine. They are the first ones to be built to the shorter 10.2m length. The Enviro200EVs for the 100 will be even shorter, at 9.6m. Incidentally any ADL bodywork for BYD electric double-deckers will be the Enviro400 City variant, the MMC will not be offered on electric chassis. Stagecoach Manchester is also taking 32, to the slightly lower height of 4.2m (the Metroline examples are full-height at 4.3m). Going forward, glazed staircases will be optional on both models.

I'm expect to see them returned to their leasing company what about the Sunday service of the 357 being extended to Wipps Cross Hospital? The 214’s SEe’s can go around the 357.

I wonder if the 357's Sunday service will be worked of the SEs at NP either the 153s or 214s seeing as the two batches will mix I'm sure. Of course the 357's Sunday service could be worked of the WSs allocated to the 232 and whatever is ordered for 444 (most likely WSs) too. We'll see what GAL decide to do for the new contract should they retain the 357

Feel free to sign up. And I’m sorry with no disrespect intended, this is the problem with Facebook taking over from established things like Yahoo Groups. Everything is all over the place now, why should people have to sign up to The Londoner, this site, a Go Ahead Facebook group and probably all manner of others just to get a whole picture of what’s going on. If only we had, I don’t know, a single source for everything. That would be just peachy.
