Nice to see several bus drivers from different companies embracing the Christmas spirit and wearing a festive jumper! Brings a little cheer to the daily drive

What gets my goat is that why people don't want to sit upstairs currently on VWH2139 on the 302 and now downstairs is cramped

What annoys me is when people push to get on the bus and don't even go upstairs but instead stand directly in front of the stairs, blocking people who want to go upstairs... Or when they barge their way on just to fumble for their oyster for about 2 minutes holding up everyone who has an oyster in their hand and is ready to get on and sit down.

What people should do is have a look even if it is busy because when I was on the 302 there was hardly anyone upstairs even at this time there will be plenty of seats free

He says those things on purpose, I know him wont put names here but you have to have a good sense of humour at times. A classic joker.

Of course it's up to them but it's strange when it's only a short walk upstairs and then you have a seat when you're up there. The same can be said for people who don't move down tube platforms and then get annoyed when the tube needs to depart.

I was restricted to lower deck only for a while by a knee injury but now I would normally go upstairs unless I was only going a few stops but I can understand why some people prefer to stay downstairs for various reasons.

Sorry to hear about you're Knee injury glad to hear you're on the mend. Obviously someone with an injury or something else that restricts them from going upstairs then yes I understand why you wouldn't but it's people who can go upstairs that make the people who can't go upstairs have a more uncomfortable journey.

I think the tube one can be attributed to people knowing where the exit is at the station they need to alight at so will often not settle for anywhere else on the train.

I'm fine now thanks it was nothing major, it seems when buses are packed people are often reluctant to go upstairs in case they have difficulty getting off at their stop.

The same can be said for people who don't move down tube platforms and then get annoyed when the tube needs to depart. I think the tube one can be attributed to people knowing where the exit is at the station they need to alight at so will often not settle for anywhere else on the train. Also on National Rail. The GWML passengers are absolutely disgusting for it, with the exits at Ealing Broadway, Southall, Hayes & Harlington, West Drayton and Langley all being right at the Western end of the platforms. Luckily, the position of the new building + footbridge at Southall will help sort out the issue there, which alone will help a lot. However, having said all that, I don't exactly blame them for wanting to make an earlier connection and not having to wait in the cold / rain. As for buses, it is very annoying when it happens on the routes that large shorter-distance loads. In the case of Southall, this is the four Western Road routes, where the first bus in over 5 minutes gets loads standing downstairs and not many upstairs. Or in the case of the 195, passengers squeezing onto that and ignoring the deckers behind, causing issues for those who have no choice but to use the 195. And as the 195 is single decker, it is also preferred by those who need an accessible seat nearer the front of the bus, which are less easy to find on a decker. This also links in with the recent post in the RATP thread where a passenger ignored a decker in favour of a single.

I gather that this year on NYE no additional/extra bus services will operate.
Please advise further as I cannot track confirmation online.
