Probably already mentioned but Ash Grove is having a community open day on Saturday April 22nd (11:00 to 16:00). Entry is £2. Aren't such events normally free entry?

I suspect it will put a lot of people off, especially families with kids. Similar events arranged by the emergency services are normally free with an optional charity donation and I think that is the best approach.

Sympathies over lool, but thanks for the concern guys! Back to business though; and today's topic is spider maps. I observed in late October the new night bus spider maps go up (1st place I viewed it was Canning Town bus station). The east London quadrant, which was back-dated to August 19th 2016 (any Night Tube users remember the date? ); you would think that the poster will be accurate despite the wait but noooo! The 2 main faux-pas for NE night bus quadrant maps lie in routes 277 and 108; it states the former still goes to Leamouth and the latter going to Stratford instead of Stratford International. The problem I have with TfL's incompetence is that they clearly wished to launch the August 2016 map as planned; but held onto it in the hopes for giving an updated map in October (post 108 changes) and here we are in April and it's still unchanged!! Obviously it's great for the maps to show the weekend night bus routes but I prefer 100% accuracy and nothing else! On the topic of spider maps, it's been 18 months since the 353 was extended to Forestdale and it's still not on the map 😱 Also the 108 hasn't been changed on the South East London night bus map either.

The events I've been to where there was a small charge had families attending so I'm not sure it would put them off. I agree that it probably would be better to have an optional charity donation instead.

I don't know if this is relevant or not, but I went to Tainjin overnight and I saw a coach as 'Vehicle Toilet' I was amazed that this coach was converted into toilets!! So would it be possible to use decommissioned buses to provide this essential facility, thoughts?
(Will email forum member with a picture of this coach and hopefully he will put on Flicker to see!)

Buses have been turned into many things after its initial life use- kitchens, actual restaurants. There was even a news story the other week of a single decker turned into a mobile cinema for the kiddies of Croydon to enjoy. Anything old but preserved for use is good in my books; but I probably won't use a mobile toilet on any set of wheels, unless I know the bus will be parked while I do my business!!

I have sent Sid some photos I see he has posted some pictures for me in 'Operation Worldwide' but I can't open the links due to the government here! Any thoughts about mobile toilet buses??

I'm surprised nobody has suggested that as a use for the LT !
In my experience most mobile toilets in this country are trailers that can be detached and left at the site, music, sporting events etc etc.

We already have the initials for that in LT (Local Toilet), and there must be a way to convert the waste into fuel
