How about the T33 with it's V/W reg darts? Could be wrong but I'm sure they lasted right until the route was lost to Abellio in 2012 The T33 is a good shout actually! Forgot that 322-334 lasted until 2012 334 lasted much longer as it became the spare bus for the 130.

13:00-13:30 Thursday 24th. Route 73 southbound. Cold air blowing on top deck throughout journey from Essex Road to Oxford Circus. Sounded and felt like it was on full. Why would you be blowing cold air on a freezing cold day? ...because drivers have no control over it...

Took a ride on VW1383 today on route 186. Interestingly, halfway down the A41 a call came through from the NMCC advising the driver to stop at the next bus stop and check the tax disc and operators license etc. The dreaded "... to help even out the service" announcement was played, then the iBus switched off for a while as we all waited. The driver had a look and reported to control that there were no licenses, and the controller advised to just continue to Brent Cross, finish the journey, then return out of service back to the garage. The "...bus is ready to depart" announcement played (only heard that twice in my life ) and off we went. Interesting how this whole situation came about to be honest. Did the driver not check before taking the bus out? How did the NMCC know? Is a bus even allowed to be in service without the tax disc and license? n.b. The bus in question is now in service on the 140, presumably after returning to Harrow Weald to have the discs inserted.

The vehicle must carry an operators licence in order to legally carry passengers commercially. The bus should not have carried on in service. As for how NMCC knew, I can only imagine a TfL official (Bus station controller perhaps?) noticed the lack of an o-licence and called it in.

Does anyone know how I can find out what routes srm run in London? What do you mean by "srm"? That's not a normal vehicle class code used by a current operator. If you mean the NB4L look a likes on Volvo chassis then simply type in RTP VHR* in LVF and that will show where the six VHRs are running. Currently showing as on the 183.

I thought that was the code for the enviro 400 city? The City's use their operators fleet numbers and have never had other names for the model - Arriva's are HA1-53 & CT Plus are 2501-2538. The SRM was the abbreviation for the Volvo B5LH on the Wrightbus NBfL style body as snoggle mentioned

I know that I'm repeating this over and over again but it bugs me so much! Was on a group visit to Imperial College going via Chelsea,Battersea etc. and the amount of buses with broken/stuck blinds is appaling.Even in the posh areas where its all fancy, diesel buses with broken blinds rumbling past!
