So any canteen rumor when november tender is out? Tomorrow, I promise Itd be funny if it does end up being tomorrow I have to say I think there’s a fairly good chance of it but we can never be certain. I’d bank on tomorrow over anything else. It could be later on in the month and have an absolutely massive announcement with a truck load of routes on it to keep everyone talking about it. It could be an absolute earth-quaker, last proper one of those I can remember was the one with the 5, 15, 115 and 18 routes in amongst others in 2017. My jaw literally dropped to the ground when I saw that one. As I’m sure everyone else’s did.

The ones on the 25th of March were a big one as well containing the 24, 27, 267 and 266 among other routes, can't forget the ones on the 24th of July this year either

The 24 was quite well anticipated, 266 to LU ditto, and I wasn’t greatly surprised by the 267. I knew Abellio would have a good stab at that route considering it ran from the same garage just on the other side of the wall also I wasn’t aware of how long RATP had had the 267 when those results were released, + an LT route changing hands is (for me at least) barely a noticeable change for probably obvious reasons. When I found out how long RATP had it I could totally see how that move was very significant for a lot of people. Gotta hope they don’t do the same for the 281 either, they will be snapping at RATP’s heels for that one too. 24th July though, definitely. Totally forgot about that one, that was a jaw dropper as well. That was a total slam dunk for Stagecoach, what a win for them, and one which I think most were hoping for given the beating they had until then

If there is a tender result, they will usually get released before 12:30. When it does eventually come out, the fact that its slightly delayed could mean were in for a big announcement like you mention

Or was I imagining it all?

If it is tomorrow then will be a lot of messages on here, with a Contract change and a tender award announced on the same day.

Just curious, does anyone know why the 335 doesn't double-run via Kidbrooke Station as the 178 does? Pretty strange that the 335 completely bypasses the station when the 178 does not, also it would be useful for those alighting at the station to connect to the 335 and head towards North Greenwich, and vice versa. Regarding the route, it was used quite well when I was on it end-to-end a few days ago well before the evening peak. Having said that surely there is scope for an extension at its southern end as it's essentially 'half a 132'

Just got on a 202 and after one stop, have just had “the driver has been instructed to wait a short time...”
Unfortunately, I got on the bus at the first stop, Blackheath Royal Standard, and the bus is holding at the second stop... it’s not even as if the bus left early, either.

A lot of 202 drivers don't stick to 20 mph limit anyways hence why if they floor they have to hold back eventually.

It's even worse on the 21/172/453 when they wait at Briant Street (a stop before NX) after having waited already at previous stops, then arrive at NX and changeover wasting even more of the passengers time 🙄
