10121ddo - CT Plus (or what is now known as HCT Group) has just recently acquired few of the ex First/Metroline 11 reg Enviro 200's (The same former Greenford batch that TT got some for the 218) as top ups for the W19's frequency increase on Weekdays to every 10 mins starting from next Monday.
One of the acquired was ex DE1909 which entered service on the W19 yesterday with 1338 as the new fleet number and that entered service on the W19 in a very scruffy state on the outside with the front destination and the side blinds that was displaying blank - flic.kr/p/2hVGjBc

You could argue that whoever was responsible for removing the branding should of done a better job before it was sold. As for the seats, it's not the first operator for this to happen to though I'm not excusing it either - probably was kept in storage for a while.

Why 1338 of all numbers? They’re expecting other 13xx buses?

The buses use occasionally from Ash Grove are well presented though..

One odd observation of an HCT single decker (16 plate, 12**) running dead along Lordship Lane, Tottenham this evening. Some distance from the W5 route or its garage It (SN16OGO) has now appeared in service at AW, so was probably on its way there when you saw it. It might even have gone straight from Archway or Harringay to AW after finishing on the W5, which would possibly explain the use of Lordship Lane.

YX11CNV - 1339 has had a stroke of paint here and there but it’s still evident it was a DE and Metroline owned it at the front where the logos were taken off and there is a strip of blue branding at the side. Multiple shades of red, some partially ripped moquette inside. Interestingly the blinds state Ilford rather than High Road Ilford, Hainault Street. A shame really as Ilford Hainault Street was a better blind as it tells new passengers exactly where it terminates, Ilford has multiple terminals. Apparently the W19 goes to Bulls Bridge according to the branding at the back.

1337 (one of the ex-Tower Transit E200s) has been refurbished with HCT Group logos and yellow poles. (Not my photo)
