A MAN survived a 30ft fall from a bridge when he hit the roof of a No9 bus on the way down. The man in his 20s escaped with just a broken ankle after his fall.
Shoppers looked on in horror when they saw the man fall from a footbridge leading to a shopping centre car park – a notorious suicide spot. As they watched him hurtle towards the floor the bus driver, seemingly unaware of the drama above him, pulled his vehicle into the stop below the bridge in Southend, Essex, and the man landed on top.
