The 111 is quite of a mixed bag, wonder when those SP's are going to be replaced. Maybe not for a couple years a least.

Then I could see the route getting new electrics. I'd agree and say that they will last until 2022 providing they can be upgraded to Euro VI. I don't think it will get electrics though given the length of the route unless range of electric double decks is improved by then. Perhaps if required, some of the ADH's released from route 94 could be used to replace the SP's. I personally hope not though

I personally hope not though the ADH'S aren't in great condition, I would personally hope that new buses get ordered for the 111. Perhaps RATP ordering evosetis would be cool to expand them in West London as only being on the 607 as a part allocation currently. Evosetis look like Omnicities too and plus they're Egyptian which makes it so much better (I'm Egyptian that's why).

I personally hope not though I would guess that the SPs on 111 (and other routes like 71, 281, 183, H32 etc) will continue to end of contract in 2022 (2021 for 71 and 281, 2021 or 2023 for H32 and 183). Potentially some could swap routes depending on condition and mileage as they finish contracts as different dates. Replacement is harder to call, double deck electric are not compulsory yet, presumably TfL is allowing more development time (and hoping price falls). The only definite date so far is that 100% of the fleet needs to be zero emission by 2037. Working backwards and assuming 2 x 7 year or 3 x 5 year contracts implies buses from 2022 or 2023 will be electric (unlike single decks which are electric from 2020) So I would punt the 71 and 281 will get new hybrids in 2021 and 111 will get new electric buses in 2022 (or 2024) as things will have moved on in the months in between. H32 and 183 will go hybrid if 2021. But if 139 is lost or goes electric then one of the SP routes might get 139s buses

If Heathrow do implement a LEBZ, then hopefully they'll help finance electrics for all the routes serving Heathrow.
I don't think this Heathrow LEBZ will happen, but it does make the 111 getting electrics more plausible

As much as I like the B5LH engine, I would like AV to get some more ADL products because after the 81 is lost to Metroline, there won’t be any double deck enviros left in Hounslow. The best B5LH is the Gemini 3 imo.

The 4 67reg for the 258 seemed a strange order, VHs probably would have been more logical with BT already having them on the 139. SO also had Volvo hybrids prior to the H14's ADHs. Then with London Sovereign seemingly preferring ADHs for new orders, it seemed strange that the 79's order was for VHs.

I wonder it the 79's order was VHs because RATP knew the VHs would go to the H91 and decided not to introduce another type to HH. If RATP retain the H91 then I'd love for ADHs to be ordered and those sent to the 79 instead but that seems unlikely and of course if the H91 is lost the 79 will get the VHs

That was only because the Chiswick green corridors introduction was delayed.

Could it have been easier to just upgrade the H91's existing SPs to euro6, as they will likely need to be done anyway?

On the contrary to that I’ve never had a G3 where the air cooling doesn’t work. As much as I think the G3 is a rubbish bus (mainly in terms of quality etc) the air cooling is without doubt one of few brilliant thing about it. Most of the ones that Ive been on recently from HD dont seem to be working! May be more common with Metroline as I've had many PA ones not working recently and currently on UX's VWH2186 which doesn't have it working either.
