Have any of these Roundels turned up yet? TfL really do get their best ideas from this forum. I suggested they need a roundel on the front many many months ago when the latest spec required the lack of operator logo on the front.

Although notably pretty much no operator is abiding by this and most new deliveries still have operator logos on the front.

It will be interesting to see what RATP's next moves in the medium term regarding procuring new vehicles for their fleet providing the firm retain their routes. RATP have a lot of upcoming work to retain and while they have lot of a significant amount of work since their change of tendering strategy recently so it will be intriguing what happens next. I have noticed a trend in recent tenders of RATP just getting 3 year contracts on the routes they have retain with virtually all their recent awards having existing vehicles specified. It makes me wonder if RATP are restraining themselves from procuring new vehicles. RATP routes like routes 33/N33, 218, 258, 266/N266, H22, H98 will probably need new vehicles regardless of operator. Interesting times ahead for RATP. TfL have got themselves into a bit of a short term spin, with lots of three year contracts with used buses, which makes it very difficult to plan, it also means a rather messy bulge with new buses will come up in 2025-2026 To answer this properly need to understand the fleet age profile of RATP fleet, still plenty of buses from 2011-2013, virtually nothing introduced 2014-2015. Rather causes a problem if TfL is awarding a contract for 2024-2027, the older fleet is too old, and lack of buses that would naturally be about 14 years old at end of these contracts. But not all bad news, RATP had bit of a new bus splurge in 2016-2018, and if you are looking at short contracts ending 2028 (and probably 2029 by time new buses arrive) they are well placed. There are also cascade opportunities from routes like 28 (lost 4th May) which allows buses to be better allocated and some of the oldest to retire.

SP40206 has made its return and is currently on the E1! Had a ride on SP40206. I saw the new floor and it looked like it was only present in the front door area. Did not go upstairs to check.

Do we know where the OMEs are going to. I’d imagine the 452 seeing as drivers appear to being type trained on it similar to when they went on the 28.
