Are there any routes outside London area that uses the AEC Routemaster buses on a short section of the route similar to the London Heritage routes 9 and 15? But not the very part time ones like with the Epping and Ongar bus service which used the AEC Regent's on the route. But services for a Routemaster outside London must be rare now? But i wonder what the fare is like there.

First Eastern Counties use Routemasters on summer service 3 in Great Yarmouth. They were absent from the route in 2011, but they were back for this season. The route is a decent length, connecting the large number of holiday camps in the area to Great Yarmouth.

I wonder what the fare is and the length of the route. It's not particularly long : North Shore-Pleasure Beach is about 1.5 miles, but the buses are interesting : as well as the Routemasters, they occasionally let their ex. Blackpool Leyland PD3 out, and they also have two open top Bristol VRs, one ex. Crosville ECW bodied bus, and perhaps more interestingly, an ex. Cardiff Alexander bodied example.

I know Brighton & Hove have at least one and is used but I don't think it's on a regular bus service.

Midland Classic of Swadlincote in Derbyshire run the peak route 21 with a Routemaster (RM1168) every weekday term-time morning from Swadlincote to Burton-on-Trent complete with conductor. Its due to time constraints and heavy loadings during college time and has proved a massive hit with local people who quite happily jump on and off as if it's any other bus. It often takes a full standing load into Burton from what I understand! www.midlandclassic.com

I know Western Greyhound use to throw out a Routemaster on one of their routes, not sure if they still do.
Go Coach in Oxted did use their Routemaster on a special commuter service for a short while before it was withdrawn and Carousel did run the 1 in High Wycombe with one before Go Ahead took them over.

It's probably worth keeping an eye on whether the 473 runs in 2013, with the Bluebell's extension to East Grinstead happening soon, it may remove the need for the route.
