stagecoach have agreed to take over First's operations in Birkenhead, the Wirral and Chester. Another piece of the North West falls under Stagecoach influence - three acquisitions in a fortnight!

I wonder if Stagecoach will actively compete with Arriva or opt for more partnership working - particularly in the Merseyside area.
