I've deleted my post as it wasn't my intention to get anyone into trouble, just to note how good the bus was.

DW38 just hit 50mph along Kennington Road on the 159. i don't think thats anything to be proud of Others in authority might be reading this. A car doing 50 in a 30 limit is bad enough, but a 10 ton bus, even if it was empty beggars belief!! A bit of speed on a bus doesn't hurt anyone, least I'd be getting to my destination quicker.

You ought to avoid the 123 and 370 then ;D DLA239, despite her shonky gearbox has a good turn of speed to Thrash is okay as long as its safe, no one should take risks... My driver of 9771 today really had the old girl hooking up. He got her up to 43mph along the Colnbrook By-Pass, you could tell he wanted more but we ran out of road After that he was slinging her into bends, swerving around potholes and constantly hitting 40mph until we reached the roadworks in West Drayton. He even gave me a friendly wave as he pulled away after I alighted. I wouldn't be surprised if it was over the pits tomorrow morning! ;D 8788 is another in good shape. 51mph along the Southern Perimeter Road, outside lane, overtaking cars and a coach effortless!

He sounds like the BC drivers that used to drive 9771 and her sisters on the 3. Croxted Road & South Croxted Road are always full of parked cars and the drivers would swing the bus around at speeds of 40mph - ahh the good old days, now we have boring hybrids on the 3

DW66- went on it this morning and as always, heating was on full blast. 32 mph down Norbury Station, very good considering how awful it used to be.

BN has another 'The Beast'...DW77. Just as impressive as 'The Beast' DW133. DW71 was not too shabby either.

Our recently transferred DLA235 is a good one, 40 mph up the hills on route 412. Also nice to see it has 'the full she-bang' refurb that most Euro 2 DLAs down here don't have.
OTOH, DLA187 was appallingly slow and feeble on the same stretch of route, around 3 mph!

I think DML44116 should have a mention today for being an Enviro 200 that had heating on and on a not-so-cold day (a special for it's appearance on the E5? )

DLA324 is awful BUT the driver did manage to get it up to 27 mph whilst fully packed, approaching Norbury Station.
