I saw an ex London Plaxton pointer dart on the M1 this morning heading Northbound around junction 10 in full London red with the buses rounded with an electronic destination displaying Helms of Eastham. No idea what it was as was driving the other way.

Been there a little while and still not been sold, DW126 should also be there. VP538/580 are also for sale there, along with VLA41/42/73, 6 ex CT Plus DAs, 8 ex Abellio E200s & ex TT VNWs. I believe a couple of ex GAL buses from the batch 148-153 are also still lingering. Chartwell often lists buses for quite an expensive price, which is probably why a lot of stuff that arrived earlier in the year is still there months later.

I know they have some 10 regs, which have been converted to single door/repainted white/given LED displays/Refurbished internally. 8543 they definitely have and I know others from the same batch are there, the advertisement says 8 available.

Sounds like the R70 batch? That & the R68 both had 10 reg examples.

Unless modified I believe the horsepower rating should be 253bhp for the DB250 chassied DWs. 218bhp was for London's euro2 engined DLAs and DLPs.

Zubin, 8109 for you from the 434!! I’m surprised, looking at the images, that 8109 an ex Abellio Surrey bus has been going around with a rear advert advertising TfL’s hopper fare! Why I’ve only just seen this I don’t even know 😂. I would buy this if I had the money, but £12000 is a bit pricey for a 10 year old single decker, would’ve thought they’re usually half the price. Double deckers are usually worth that much. It’s in Barnsley though which is quite close to my university, so hopefully it finds a good new home...maybe if it’s for sale again a few years down the line, who knows......

Baffled by this photo Seems to show an early London E400 converted to open top, the description isn’t great, but seems to suggest its at a RATP depot in Dunkirk. Got me thinking are they changing the sightseeing fleet because of ULEZ (replacing the older buses that are not economic to upgrade). It is known there is upgrade for the euroIV Trident chassis as many have been done. Then had a second thought, could the virtually identical 2007 ADEs at Epsom get same treatment as they (actually 7 of 10) are being replaced by new buses Appreciate any thoughts
