Baffled by this photo Seems to show an early London E400 converted to open top, the description isn’t great, but seems to suggest its at a RATP depot in Dunkirk. Got me thinking are they changing the sightseeing fleet because of ULEZ (replacing the older buses that are not economic to upgrade). It is known there is upgrade for the euroIV Trident chassis as many have been done. Then had a second thought, could the virtually identical 2007 ADEs at Epsom get same treatment as they (actually 7 of 10) are being replaced by new buses Appreciate any thoughts If it appeared to be a 56 reg, then it is most likely to be the ex 61 vehicles. Half were due to get converted to euro 6 and have the droid removed. This would explain the interior change, which now looks lik plastic. I think they use the stagecoach interior, but in plastic as well, so I’m not sure

It may already have been reported that former Abellio E200 8547 is now with Redline Buses in Aylesbury. I saw it on Friday in red but with the former Abellio name, fleetnumber and Camberwell address greyed out but still legible.

I believe the photographer is East Kent based, so the Dunkirk referred to is between Canterbury and Faversham. Would expect the site to be SE Coachworks who operate out of the old East Kent Faversham depot.

Former Metrobus 897 and 898 are in the process of being converted to open top prior to being exported to Malta Half of all the decommissioned Metrobus stock seem to now live in Malta Indeed, there doesn't seem to be such a big demand for Scania's elsewhere in the country.

Ex Metroline VP339 is now with First West Of England, acting as a Bristol 'Queue buster'. Other VP's they are using are VP317, 320, 321, 328, 329, 334, 343. Ex Travel London TA105 (KV02URN) now in gold livery is also being used.

Looks like former Arriva London DW25 won't be returning to passenger service any time soon.... (not my photo) Sister DW26 has also been sent for scrap. A real shame as I was hoping to see that in service around Huddersfield where it was based

Mind you though 207 Scanias were decommissioned no sooner than getting snapped up by someone else! (were they all sold on? I think they were, loads went to Ipswich Buses). It’s a shame really because Scania OmniCities are excellent buses, if not a bit guzzly.

I rode former Abellio MPD 8028 with M Travel in Manchester today. It still carried Abellio Surrey livery. I didn't realise it had been refurbished by Abellio. This is the 2nd time in 6 years that I've sampled a London batch of sorts locally but not in London. The other was a former London United VR with Network Warrington in Sept '13 (who have recently started training as Warrington's Own Buses).
