ex-London Sovereign VLP27 (PJ53 OVB) seen on Munster Road, Fulham, wearing a full body vinyl which suggests it's going to be converted to some sort of mobile doctors', like PVL215.

They have 3 ex Metrobus Omnidekkas and also ex Metroline Volvo Olympian AV37, but that one is withdrawn. Otherwise their fleet list only shows coaches.

The S RLE Olympians were great buses with the excellent 3 spd Voith box

ex Stagecoach London Scanias 15054/15061/15068/15069 have now gone to Stagecoach Scotland East and have been converted to single door, repainted etc and are now in service at Aberhill depot. 15021/15052/15058/15060/15066/15067/15070-15072 are also being prepared for service at the same depot, meanwhile 15059/15063 have been stripped for spares for the others and have now gone for scrap.

9407 is now a play bus, pictured somewhere in South Mimms. Photo credit to Dean Sullivan Yes, I was sent on a wild goose chase looking for it when a load of 56/07 plates were withdrawn and needed moving to storage. I had to do some digging and fortunately discovered it had been sold off and a load of seats had been ripped out prior to it going - pity none of them were Lazzerini 3840s! Wishing the new owners all the best with their venture!

Yes, I was sent on a wild goose chase looking for it when a load of 56/07 plates were withdrawn and needed moving to storage. I had to do some digging and fortunately discovered it had been sold off and a load of seats had been ripped out prior to it going - pity none of them were Lazzerini 3845s! Wishing the new owners all the best with their venture! So the company forgot they sold a bus? 😂 There are all kinds of dramas that threaten the efficiency of bus transfer jobs. I remember at a similar time I was told to move more of that batch to storage - they were nowhere to be seen at QB and it didn't take long for me to work out they had been pushed out on an Olympia circular job which I didn't even know was running and isn't in iBus. The drivers and controller were bemused when I led a load of beastly buses like 9525, 9532 and 9543 into Warwick Road and said "sorry, going to have to nick your buses, these are good ones though." The withdrawn buses still have the District Line stickers in them. Then there was the task of shifting 8 redundant 45 MMCs to QB. That was a fight against the clock to get blocked in buses out and prevent the rest from entering the garage, especially as the only exit is blocked off at a certain time. Luck would have it the last one was on the last 196 of the day to Norwood Junction and we got back to the garage seconds before it was to be driven in and blocked in. LVF plays its part in locating buses without having to harass iBus. Of course if you don't know there is a ticking clock you'll get to 2am and find it's impossible to complete the mission. Knowing the fleet and business inside out helps to foresee and overcome these problems without having to call for help and further instructions. The news of 9407 being stripped and driven to Wales and finding 9425 stuffed full of those fittings was perhaps one of the more unusual surprises!
