Ireland is a very lovely place, the people are lovely, the food is a lot better than here (even McDonalds is far better) & Dublin is a wonderful city to stay in. I also stayed in the countryside in Tallaght where my cousins live. Turkey is also a nice country and the people are very polite - didn't notice many young Turkish people about though where I stayed in Mamaris, just lots of Northerners from this country lol.

France, Germany, Turkey, Spain, Italy, Fuerteventura, Tenerife and Mauritius. Any country has a better class of people than the uk. I've also found the transport to be far cheaper and vastly more reliable than anything the uk provides.

USA, Canada, France, Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Turkey, Yugoslavia, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Norway, Belgium, Netherlands, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, Japan
I don't think I've been anywhere that I did not enjoy. The point is that these places are different to home and it's the differences that make it worthwhile. I think the Far East is my favourite part of the world even though it can be a bit warm.

France, Germany and the Czech Republic. Gotta say, Prague is one of the nicest places I've ever been to.

Wales, Scotland, France, holland, Belgium, UAE (Dubai), Bahrain and Hong Kong, after October Hong Kong will be twice. Dubai has the best looking light railway stations and Hong Kong has the best integrated transport system with lots of variety.

None of you been Republic of Ireland? Nope. I tend to prefer big cities to visit and I'm not terribly attracted by the "Ireland" stereotype of drinking Guinness and sing songs in charming pubs. I know it's a stereotype and almost certainly exaggerated but there you go. Dublin also has something of a reputation as a party city and I'm not terribly attracted by having to weave my way through crowds of drunks of an evening if I'm trying to find somewhere to eat. Call me a boring old git

Philippines, France and the US The transport there is decent. Not as modern, even though they are trialling hybrid buses, but decent.

I've done Scotland, Wales, France, Spain, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Turkey, Egypt, Israel, Cyprus, United Arab Emirates (Dubai & Fujairah) and I've recently just come back from USA.
Spain is pretty much my second home, lost count of the times I've passed through Alicante Airport! As Greeny says Prague is a very nice city to visit (as long as you dont get accosted by the local girls after dark!) My trips to Poland & Germany are odd ones, a couple of mates of mine live in a town called Varnsdorf, which is in the north of the Czech Rep, right on the border with Germany. The quickest way to there from Prague is to drive though Poland and Germany! so all in all, I've only visited those countries for about 30 minutes. I was suprised with Turkey, I thought it would be a dump, but I found it to be appealing and very picturesque. I loved the States though, even if 2 weeks from coming back, I'm still suffering from the bug I caught out there!

The only transport I've used before is Dublin Buses in Ireland - this was in 2007 when the Volvo Olympians were still a plentiful and the Volvo B7L Wright Fusion artics were still running the 4. A nice, clean fleet, abeit with the old glimpse of etching but nothing like London. Any Volvo fans would love the fleet as it's over 90% Volvo apart from around 10 Trident ALX400's - otherwise, it's full of B7TL ALX400's, B9TL Gemini's, some very lovely B9TL Enviro 500's & some B9TL Enviro 400's.
