Some bus changed had for around 2 weeks+ ago or more, but been too busy to post.
ROUTE 253
31 8 19 SATURDAY pvr = 22 BUSES SUN pvr =18 BUSES MON, TUES, WED & THURSDAY pvr = 23 BUSES FRI pvr = 23 BUSES REASON FOR CHANGE - REVISED SERVICE, REVISED RUNNING TIME overall 253 loses 4 buses
If the 253 is losing 4 buses, this presumably means 4 more are available for TfL to allocate somewhere, but where ?

And probably 4 from the 254 aswell which is dropping to every 6-7 mins. I guess these 8 could go the the 176 releasing something to the 357 hence the TBC.

I would have thought the Routemasters would have helped with the 67's conversion

There is still the buses off the 48 that could provide existing buses on the part 34/102 via another route. 259?

So the Stagecoach Geminis plus 20 HVs from the 259 let's say would come close to the allocation needed.

A suggestion that the LTs from the 48 could move to another Arriva route and I used the 259 as an example. I could have used the 319 or 29 or even a route outside central London but just choose the 259 as it was rumoured it had been considered before the 267 was chosen for the last new batch. That's all.

For Arriva to be considering purchasing ex-Stagecoach 13001-32 suggests they are seriously unsure of being allowed to keep LTs off route 48. An outcome I like is for routes 34 & 102 to use spare HVs including these ex-Stagecoach examples, then for LTs on route 48 to convert most of route 2, releasing its HVs for a bid to retain route 466.

I don't think purchasing the ex Stagecoach G3s suggests uncertainty over the future of the 48's LTs. To me it seems that Arriva need buses to make up the 34/102 allocation, which has been hindered by the cancellation of the 19 cut. Scouring the second hand market means that Arriva will have buses ready in time for taking over the 34, whereas new vehicles may not be ready in time. Its still possible the 48's LTs will go elsewhere, but I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that because Arriva have purchased second hand buses that the 48's LTs will go elsewhere
