There is an article in latest Route one mag on the StreetDeck (the new name for Wrightbus Gemini 3) Route one mag articleAnd yes it does apparently carry 99 (set by weight limit, would have to stand very close to each other) in a 10.47m bus

I am intrigued to know where the two secret prototypes have been running and their identity. It will be interesting to see how many orders Wrights get for the StreetDeck. It sounds like an intriguing vehicle with the Mercedes engine and gearbox. Also interesting that Arriva will be buying some experimental Flybrid Streetlites as well as the milton keynes charging vehicles.

YAY! So excited for the new StreetDeck with a Mercedes engine!!! I wonder how this is going to sound. I imagine Arriva will start ordering these from next year.

Rather good and interesting article. I would like to know how many other connections (electrical, pipe work etc) need to be disconnected as well as the 14 bolts! The price of the Volvo and Mercedes engines combinations would be interesting aswell.
The article about the ex Go-Ahead Scania's is rather interesting, but I think they will remain unsold when there are stack loads of 1st generation low floor double deckers coming onto the market especially at £93,000!!!!

Ross Newman mentioned on another group that this was on a 1 week loan to Green Bus.

Interesting about the Gemini3 (I don't particularly like the StreetDeck name so I'll stick with Gemini3 ) is this new G90 6 spd gearbox - I hope some come to London with this combination as I'd like to hear how it sounds.

Like an ZF AS Tronic or I-Shift, I think the new Setra coach have some version on the G90

snowman I am sure the article states the engine option as only being the mercedes one with three different gearbox options? Anyway this vehicle will be interesting to see and that 6 speed i-shift style gearbox sounds interesting

Found some more info on the streetdeck. aparently it will have exactly the same body length/specification as the B5TL version only difference being it will have a wrightbus made chassis and a mercedes engine it even has a offside grille similar to the B5TL. What more thats interesting is that it is 10.469m long and 4.395m heigh and to tfl spec will seat 73!! plus 26 standees now 73 seats to tfl spec in a vehice the same as the gemini 3 on the 12, how do you fit 10 more seats into that without tip up seats hmmmmm legroom springs to mind???
Also seeing s its exactly the same body and layout as the b5tl then why does the b5tl only seat 63 as opposed to 73
Even though it has the exact same body as the B5TL the B5TL (&B5LH) version is known as the gemini 3 or (dream decker)and the integral is known as streetdeck so they have two seperate names.
Deliveries commence mid 2014 and 6 prototypes will be made for operator trials
Finally a hybrid version of the streetdeck will be a potential future option

Metroline could do with ordering some to shift some of the old stuff still at HD...

According to LOTS:
As we closed for press, Wrightbus made known their naming policy for their new double deck body (i.e. as can be seen on Go-Ahead London V6). When fitted on the Volvo B5TL/B5LH chassis (diesel or hybrid), it is to be called a 'Gemini 3' (the world 'Eclipse' seems to have been dropped) but when on Wright's own integral chassis, it will be called a 'StreetDeck'. Both are being built to a standard 10.5m length. Unlike the VDL DB300/Gemini 2DL, the StreetDeck has a totally Wrightbus-built chassis as pioneered by the StreetLite & NBfL. Indeed, the chassis is virtually an NBfL look-alike ahead of the engine position but with a normal rear overhang making it 10.5m instead of the 11.3m of the NBfL. The StreetDeck, which replaces the Gemini 2DL, is to have a Mercedes-Benz OM934 4-cyclinder engine.
