Just saw VWL36 on the 1 with the time on the bottom of the iBus screen.
I guess that's going to be on every iBus screen? I think it's a good idea.

I'm sure WVL36 is allocated to Putney & and not Mandela Way. Displaying the time on a bus isn't new - Connex ordered buses with digital clocks on displaying the time, shame it wasn't made standard spec across all TfL vehicles

All buses I've been on today show the time on both upper and lower deck iBus screens View AttachmentThis is going to be a bit 'interesting' when a passenger that knows the schedule looks at the clock to see that the bus is running late but is still holding back at a stop due to 'headway'.

All buses I've been on today show the time on both upper and lower deck iBus screens View AttachmentIt's part of the latest update to the I-bus system - as I said before, they are roughly 10-13 years behind Connex who ordered buses between 51 reg & 52 reg with a clock under the 'bus stopping' sign on both decks - still, it's good they finally added it in though maybe like Connex, it could of been put on a seperate screen.

I saw it on my bus Today, It seems the buses use the 12 hour clock, instead of the 24 hour clock

The interview with the TfL Surface Transport Head of Technical Services, in a recent Coach and Bus Week, about I-Bus said this change was going to be made. Quite why they have opted for the 12 hour clock is beyond me. This is ludicrous given every TfL timetable is in 24 hour format. And yes, I know a few bus companies still use the 12 hour clock but they're out of step with best practice (IMO).

So when someone presses the bell, does the bus stopping sign appear and get rid of the time?

Erm, I'm currently on ADE45 which doesn't have the clock It should not be forgotten that railway timings are also in the 24 hour clock I caught the 1652 service to Weybridge, not the 4.52pm

So when someone presses the bell, does the bus stopping sign appear and get rid of the time? Yes, it does exactly that.
