I can't answer the W19 question. By my reckoning the frequency increase will require 2 extra buses M-F and 3 on Saturday. There is already an extra bus for a peak extra M-F. If you check the consultation pages on the TfL website then you'll get the info for the others. As I am a very nice person I have provided the links below. And yes the 263 will definitely require extra buses - I'd guess 3 or 4 extra. P5386263Hmm, regarding the P5, the 'traffic management scheme' seems more of a fib. IIRC, it was removed, first from Lothian Road & Langton Road, and then from it's diverted route via Calais Street & Flodden Road (the latter survived) due to parking. Also noticed from a quick google maps glance that: The route along Flodden Road, Knatchbull Road & Lilford Road is hail & ride so it seemed to always be temporary Lothian Road & parts of Langton Road are still narrow due to the parked cars It was not hail and ride when I last did it a couple of years ago - there was a stop in Flodden Road just before the roundabout and I challenge any driver to find a safe place to stop in Knatchbull Road - I was never hailed there (although I did drop off there once... the passenger approached me with a please, please, please... she didn't think it was hail and ride either!) and I was never under the impression it was hail and ride

Can i ask the reason for route 129 double decking,is it for capacity or operational reasons(freeing up single deckers)? And what D/D will be used?
TIA

There are no bus stops between Camberwell New Road (Vassall Road) & Loughborough Road which is a large distance not to have any bus stops between so it's understandable for some to presume its hail & ride

I see the N26 is getting a weekend frequency increase to x12 minutes from 21 June 2014 (source - TfL bus service change document). I wonder if that will kill off the supplemental route 97 service on New Year's Eve?

The W19 will use two ED's from NX made surplus by the double decking of the 129. The ED's are heading back home to BE

Not really, passengers couldn't really give two hoots about the cosmetic condition especially on the 129 which is very busy during the peaks so I'm sure they'd be welcome of them. 11 years without any repaint & refurb would leave any bus in a ropey looking condition. Don't forget, the 132 had DWL's that were at least 4 years newer than the PVL's that replaced them.

Some proposed changes aaffecting buses listed in this document which has just been added to Kingston Councils website moderngov.kingston.gov.uk/documents/s52239/Traffic%20Updates.pdfIncludes works at New Malden station to increase frequency and quality of K1 (quality is interesting as Abellio has 13-reg E200s, but on other hand, an E200 isn't in same quality league as say a Citaro-K,) Its also interesting that TfL is keeping quiet about this on its route developments part of its website
