Point taken. We all know the boring stuff can and will be overlooked. Before I retired the company, thru' years of experience, had a flow chart for every eventuality, which had to be adhered to and signed off before the job was passed on. Yes we know its boring and mundane but it did help further down the line. As you rightly say this sort of stuff does help keep things on track. We had to have processes and be able to demonstrate adherence to them or else we'd never get through a TfL Audit and we were audited almost every year on some aspect or another but then we were channelling hundreds of millions of pounds of money a year to an outside company so you'd expect that sort of oversight. It was a pain in the posterior being repeatedly audited but at least we passed with only the odd corrective action being needed. There is a direct parallel because of what I-Bus does and how the data is used. Therefore I'd expect there to be a robust set of linked processes within TfL but also agreed ways of working with the operators. As an aside - people still waiting for the W11 on the now abandoned section. I had to give 6 people the bad news that the bus was never going to come as I leapt on to a 123. They hadn't heard the news, seen the notice on the timetable panel or spotted the route number had vanished from the stop. Oh and not one relevant spider map has been updated either. What a mess.

At long last I-Bus has been updated to reflect the W11's revised route. There no more torment of having buses show up on Countdown on a section of route that has been abandoned and providing no info on the bit that is now being served. Looks like TfL pulled the data upload forward 1 day from Thursday night to Wednesday night.
