I have noticed lately especially in East London a lot of private hire mini cab firms advertising on the side of buses (Some even have full rear adverts). Now who are they targeting? people that use buses probably do so because cabs are expensive! As for the rear advert are they trying to get car owners to use cabs?

Buses are an excellent form of advertising, especially 'all-over' adverts. I hope TfL and the companies are making as much as they can from it. Advertising is about brand as much as anything, and they have got your attention, and you now know about them. So its worked. People who see the advert are not necessarily going to go and use a cab, but its in your head, and so the time might come when you do or someone else needs it. Why do Cola-Cola and the such advertise, when we all know about them. Its branding, and making sure that there brand never leaves our minds.
