I actually think that National Express were right to sack him - there is no excuse for obscene gestures of any nature. I could understand him getting a 'one off' for something like general rudeness or aggressive use of his voice towards the enthusiast.

The reason he won at a tribunal is simple. NatEx didn't follow the correct disciplinary procedure - whilst I wouldn't much appreciate being sworn at either, companies have a disciplinary procedure to follow and not following it is how they end up losing an employment tribunal.

With these people who make rude gestures while driving, surely you should be concentrating more on the road. Saying that today someone snapped me driving 758 on the 126s in Eltham and I gave him a cheeky wave

Setting up the shot for them will also find you favour - like I did with this shot when I was working for Stagecoach. Stopped on the bend for the bloke to take this one.

I assume the driver is in another similar PCV job... but £5k for swearing at a photographer is good money if you can make it I think if his rep from Unite hadn't opened his mouth mentioning someone else who did the same elsewhere and kept his job, things may not have been as severe and he'd be on his Final Written... but not going on the counselling provided (which would have been seen by Nat Ex as him making an effort to rectify this behaviour issue) probably was the final nail in the coffin

Photo didn't come out well but either way I wasn't bothered

All of Uxbridge Rd from Ealing Broadway to Northfields Lido was bumper to bumper yesterday after they'd dug the road up AGAIN
