I'm shocked to hear this - I grew up watching him to be so funny in films such as Flubber & Mrs Doubtfire. Hope he is at rest now.

First heard of him in Mork and Mindy. I remember him for his voice overs of different characters. RIP

First heard of him in Mork and Mindy. I remember him for his voice overs of different characters. RIP I remember Robin Williams first playing Mork in Happy Days, where I believe his character was so popular that it spawned the Mork and Mindy spinoff... unless that show was already planned at the time. I think Mork also appeared in Laverne and Shirley, which was another spinoff from happy days. youtu.be/46cG2foNwiUyoutu.be/eHWXAJhmvyU

RIP.
He was a great actor, Flubber, Jamanji, Ms Doubtfire, my favourite films...
I had no idea he was the voiceover of the Genie in Aladdin until it was mentioned in the News ?!?

Apparently all the Good Morning Vietnam scenes where he was on the radio telling multiple jokes were done without a script, Robin Williams simply improvising.

The genie from Aladdin! I must admit, I only found out who he was yesterday D: I guess it depends on how old/young some of us are as to how well we remember him, or whether we knew of him at all. I was a preteen when he first appeared in Happy Days, which gave birth to Mork and Mindy. He was more or less the Jim Carrey of that era. I also remember the happy days/Mork and Mindy/Laverne and Shirley saturday morning cartoons. Robin Williams also did a good likeness of Popeye (1980), despite the movie being a flop. It is only a pity Steven Spielberg wasn't at the helm on that one, or even George Lucas... who mind you would have been busy with Star Wars: The Empire strikes back.
