Must say, I've not heard many good things from people regarding Samsung phones - constant freezing and screens breaking. My iPhone5 was relatively trouble free except for an issue regarding the pin where the charger plugs in - got a replacement for a fiver which has been trouble free. So I'll probably be upgrading to iPhone6. Isn't the issue though that all smartphone technology is pretty fragile? A drop here, a bash there, putting it down too hard, pushing in a connector wrongly can all damage the phone or render it inoperable or non functioning in part. It's clever technology but you have to handle it very carefully to avoid doing very expensive damage.

Please don't hesitate to vote in the poll! What will the poll achieve? I'm afraid I am very much hesitating

<-- And remember should you break you're phone there's a bus driver that fixes them Take it from someone that fixes phones, stick with apple. Pretty much anything is repairable and don't cost the earth. Take a look at a LCD price for a s3 and that's considered old now and that gives you an idea. Having owned an iPhone 4S for only 3 months, I wont be upgrading anytime soon - I'm actually awaiting whether my phone will support iOS 8 ;D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yes, according to their website iOS8 will indeed be compatible with the software.

Apple do a nasty trick of making the latest iOS only properly compatible with the phones with the newest processors, and can be quite clunky on a 4S or below... I was thinking about the iPhone 6, but I love Android and the range of apps

I'm surprised no one's mentioned this, why is it called the Apple Watch and not the iWatch?
And another thing, all the talk about the camera, for me it doesn't matter. I use a camera. The only thing that takes decent photographs.

My iPod has an iSight camera.

I also use an 8mp phone Camera (Huawei Ascend P6), it seems to work pretty well, If you adjust the setting and know how to focus using a touchscreen then you shouldn't have a problem

The only thing that takes decent photographs. While I like to use a good, conventional camera for photography and find a phone camera cumbersome you can't buck the market. The trend is inexorably towards people using their phones for taking all their pictures. That's why there is continuous improvement in the capability of phone cameras. People like the convenience of always having a camera with them and the ability to instantly load their photos to a website or to share them via an E mail message or just handing the phone round. At some point parts of the camera market will cease to be profitable for camera manufacturers because the demand for single use devices will disappear. It'll be a shame but we can see blurring of markets and technological change affecting all sorts of things. For the moment camera manufacturers are trying to build in some of the phone features like GPS, wifi etc to give a similar experience to a phone but I think they're behind the trend. We'll see what happens. The worry has to be that declining demand will lead to some cameras being more expensive than in the past because the development cost has to be spread over fewer customers.

I don't think cameras will ever dissapear because people who aren't amateurs (no offence (not to you snoggle)) will always go for a digital or DSLR camera. Oh, and Snoggle, I'm beginning to love your long posts, whenever I see "Snoggle quoted you in the thread XXX" then I KNOW it's something worth reading (not that others don't have good posts).

Have a look at my photos. I don't know about you guys, but the Xperia Z2 with its 20.7MP camera is very appealing yo me. More appealing than the same old 8MP iPhone camera anyway Does anyone have a Nokia 1020 by any chance?
