Another Iphone! I can't believe how quick these things come out. Most contracts are two years now so it's hard to always have the latest model....

I've had my trusty iPhone 4 for nearly four years now. I'd be happy for an upgrade to the iPhone 6, but it may be hard to part with my ol' thing. It still works perfectly...!

Looks much more like an iPod touch now. I'm going upgrade from 5 to 7 when that comes out (12-14 months time) but the cost is a big downfall. I do like Apple devices, and my iPhone 5 is the first phone I've without it's glass or screen being smashed. The only things I don't like about them are the battery which seems to drain itself (often I've gone out fully charged, just about made it home with 1% left) plus the fact it's irremovable and the quality of the cables is rubbish, as the original cable went to lunch after just seven months, and the three 30-pin cables (which I use for my iPod touch have all had to be repaired with electrical tape.

As you asked I don't understand all the hype with Apple products or with "having" to buy the latest version. My lack of understanding extends to buying the latest version of anything - I'm nearly always last to adopt any new technology. I buy it when it's being withdrawn and therefore comparatively cheap [1]!
Having seen the cost of the US versions of the new phones I'm amazed anyone can afford them - hundreds of dollars up front *and* 2 years of contract payments. I dread to think what the UK prices will be when announced.
[1] did that with my last two digital cameras. The second camera was a treat and is full frame before I'm accused of being a camera junkie.

Having owned an iPhone 4S for only 3 months, I wont be upgrading anytime soon - I'm actually awaiting whether my phone will support iOS 8 ;D

I'm disappointed with the camera upgrades, the rumoured 13MP camera obviously hasn't been introduced. So I'm still stuck with 8MP. I hope the video sound quality is a lot better - was brilliant under IOS6 but rubbish under IOS7.

I presently have the iPhone 5 but will be going for Samsung on my next upgrade later this year. For me it's not worth having the iPhone 6 when the majority of the functions will be more or less the same as its predecessor. I also like to have comparisons between the iPhone and android, a bit like when a garage has more than one type of bus on route for comparative evaluation.
Perhaps in two years time I will go for the iphone 8.

At the grand old age of 26, I cannot get excited one bit in the new products that apple have released. I must be getting old!!! My dad has an Iphone 3 which is 4 and a half years old, nothing wrong with so with my 4s being 2 years old, I won't be upgrading any time soon. Having said that I might be purchasing an ipad in November/December time. Don't ask what version/ one I will get as apple will no doubt have a new one out soon?!

Must say, I've not heard many good things from people regarding Samsung phones - constant freezing and screens breaking. My iPhone5 was relatively trouble free except for an issue regarding the pin where the charger plugs in - got a replacement for a fiver which has been trouble free. So I'll probably be upgrading to iPhone6.
