Hammersmith and Fulham have granted final planning permission for the expansion of Westfield London at White City. The new build will be north of the existing site and see all the low rise industrial units that you pass on buses running between S Bush and W City being demolished with the new centre being built there. The roadway will disappear under the new buildings but no change to the Dimco buildings (bus stand area) or the bus station. There is section 106 funding for a new entrance to the Overground station and for expanded bus services. linkA new 4 storey John Lewis store is the centrepiece of the new development and there is an extension on from the existing centre on multiple levels. There are also several blocks of new flats. I nominate route 607 as a recipient of some of the S106 funding to allow a frequency improvement and / or use of new longer double deckers to try to ease the capacity crush.

Passenger numbers on the 31 & 148 here are minimal to the point I would consider withdrawing them, especially the 31. The 207/607 are West London equivalents of the 25 , whatever extra you put on it will be swallowed up. Instead I would suggest a frequency increase on the 228 & C1 & double decking the 316.

Good luck decking the 316 - you'll have to get that MP to move home first.

Move In the 33 - Creates a better link from south west london (Fulwell, Teddington, Strawberry Hill, Twickenham, Richmond and North Sheen) to go Shopping in Westfield.

In that case that MP really needs some sense knocked into his/her head , the 316 is in real need for DDs or Full Size SDs, it's always full. Although I'm not sure if the latter might be restricted by corners or not.

Interesting proposal, but could it cope with the increased loadings do to this? It's an SD route sadly and isn't as high-frequency as the 72. The double-decking of the 316 needs to happen. Jerk. Is the double-decking of the C1 possible too, or are the turns and roads too narrow in the Eaton Square area? It's always rammed after it picks up at Shepherd's Bush station.
