The answers for the latest Mayor's Question Time have been published. Regrettably far too many TfL related questions are awaiting answers but a few items of possible interest.
- Confirmation that TfL fares will apply from 31 May 2015 when Crossrail take over operation of Shenfield - Liv St services. This means no surcharge for travel into Zone 1 plus all the usual concessions will apply. Don't expect fares to Brentwood and Shenfield to move into Zone 6 - they'll remain higher priced (or that's what I am expecting to be the case).
- TfL are going to consult on extending route 382 from Mill Hill East into the new Millbrook Circus development. Consultation should happen by the end of the year.
- The Mayor told manhood Tracey that plans to remove the gyratory at Vauxhall will include a "centralised bus interchange area". This was said in response to concerns expressed about the planned removal of the current Vauxhall Bus Station.
- On the question of whether Woolwich Arsenal would move to a Z34 boundary station the Mayor ducked the issue and said it was an issue for South Eastern and the DfT. Rather misses the point that the DLR is already there and Crossrail will be there in 4 years.
And on a non Mayoral point there is a report today that Southern Railway have told the local MP, Chris Grayling, that Oyster will be extended to Epsom Station next year. No word yet on fares or zones that will apply.
