So true. My wife STILL cries every time she watches Bambi with my granddaughter. It makes me smile when the little one says "Grandma why are your eyes leaking?" Ok, I'm not THAT emotional, but I've still come close to crying at times when watching emotional animated films. PS- Eastlondoner62 and fg49, I assume this will be the hot topic of your discussion tonight? Sorry, why are you involving me in your posts? I am not involving you in mine. If you want to continue this please do so on PM

Tom and Jerry are f**k**g awesome... End of discussion... This 100 times! Do you also like the Looney Tunes cartoons? I loved T&J as a kid and still do now, but as I've got older I started to appreciate the Looney Tunes more. I'd rank the Looney Tunes series above Tom & Jerry, just for the wider range of cartoon characters (and one-shot cartoons too!) I'm also a big fan of the Road Runner cartoons, funnily enough I didn't like them that much when I was younger, watching them now I have an appreciation of how Chuck Jones directed them. I'm a bit selective of those cartoons, being the big cartoon geek. The only ones I really like are the ones directed by Chuck Jones, not a big fan of any of the ones directed by Rudy Larriva. The Road Runner is the only Loony Tunes cartoon I like nowadays as it is somewhat like Tom and Jerry. Was not really keen with bugs bunny, Daffy duck, Sylvester cat, Speedy Gonzalez, etc...though I did like them up until around age 12. I do like the 1960's Walter Lantz's Woody woodpecker, it and the road runner being my second favourite cartoons after Tom and Jerry.

Daffy Duck I enjoyed - maybe because he was always a bit of a 'darker' character compared to most of the others. The duck dodgers stuff with the Martian I loved as a kid - I still chuckle now at the scene where they are firing futuristic guns at each other (the bullets arrive and unveil messages - except for the last one the Martian sends to Daffy which stops, opens and then fires)..

Duck Dodgers in the 24th and 1/2 Century! Chuck Jones' Daffy Duck cartoons have always been some of my favorites by him, teamed up with Porky. Robin Hood Daffy, Deduce, You Say, Drip-Along Daffy

After the Road Runner yes I would say Daffy duck would be the next best, similar with Yosemide Sam.

Has anyone seen the new Looney Tunes? It's not like the old Looney Tunes but it is still really funny. It has got some adult themes (a lot of love, dating, etc). However it is still really enjoyable.

Horrendous show, should never have been made. I don't care to see the Looney Tunes characters go on dates in the "adult theme" sitcom way. I mean... Hare Splitter had Bugs Bunny go on a date... with a rival of course in the mix, which allowed for some good ol' slapstick! And Pepe le Pew cartoons are hilarious because of the creepinessof the over-romanticness, not to mention the fake French. Then again, I have absolutely no interest in romance anyway and get rather annoyed by soppy romantic mush in any TV shows or movies...
