Oh my! I feel sorry for the Enviro 300 thats in this trial  ! An Ex Newport Buses vehicle being powered by poo!! Who was the weirdo who came up with that crazy invention. I hope the vehicle gets withdrawn so it doesn't stink of poo as it passes you!! (the normal smell of fuel when your pass the rear of the bus will be replaced by the smell of poo) I think this is a crazy stupid idea ::)And plus, its just gonna make air emissions worse if it is the case you smell poo from the engine. And releasing methane from that plant into the atmosphere whilst fuelling that one bus (YT13YUK) harms the environment very much as I've learnt in Geography. |

Not a bad idea can never run out of sh*t ever unless people stop eating. Would be quite useful from Dog owners as well as they always leave their Dogs mess for people to step on the streets  |

I am nearing the end of a degree in geography and I can tell you the amount of methane lost during the process of fuelling it would be negligible, even if methane does have a much higher global warming potential (or GWP). Also bear in mind the bus is not carrying around tanks of human waste but of methane produced from waste, which smells unpleasant but probably not as bad. Besides, when burnt it will produce the same gases as standard petrol diesel - mostly CO2, some NOx, CO, etc. |
